What to Expect at St Helens Acupuncture
If you come to us for treatment, this is the service we provide and what it costs: First Appointment 90 minutes £ 45 This comprises a detailed consultation which will enable us to understand you and your health problem and to review your state of health in general. If necessary we may do a physical exam, and perhaps take your pulse. We aim to listen well to what you have to tell us, and to answer any questions you may have about your treatment. There will follow a first acupuncture treatment; once the needles are in place, we leave you to lie back and relax for 20 minutes or so - most people find the experience deeply calming. To book phone the clinic reception on 01744-22441 (Please note: as part of our Covid-19 secure measures, we will suggest conducting some of the consultation remotely via phone or e-mail prior to your visit, so as to reduce the amount of time you spend with us from 90 to about 60 minutes) Subsequent Appointments 60 minutes £35 Most people will need more than one appointment to achieve their treatment goals. At the first visit we will have given you an idea of how many sessions you will need, and how often to come. Sometimes we may suggest augmenting your treatment with cupping, massage, or electroacupuncture - no extra cost for these. "What If I Don't Like Needles?" Well you are not alone! We are experienced at treating all kinds of people, including those who have some degree of needle phobia, so you are in safe hands. Acupuncture needles are very fine, so it is not like having an injection - you may not feel the insertion at all. "Just wanted to say thank you for changing my life for the better.
